Текст Richard Kwakye — Trust Tomorrow
Would tomorrow hold me up much better than today
Is there hope with my name written on it tomorrow I say
If tomorrow is today’s dream
Then these tears must cling to the foot of tomorrow’s beam
Today is a day full of hurt but if I trust tomorrow
Just maybe it would wash away all the dirt
The remains of yesterday following me into today
Wiped away by just one sleep
But when the alarm signaling tomorrow is today beeps
My melancholy doesn’t seem to be washed into the deep
The hope of tomorrow nullified by today’s same
Place hope in a new tomorrow to give your sanity aim
But as I trust tomorrow again and again
It seems tomorrow reminds me of my strain again
More often tomorrow is the day I say it was better yesterday
Because yesterday at least I had hope of tomorrow’s headway
Possibilities wading impossible
As far as tomorrow’s performance goes, I am yet to be suasible
I pray and study the bible and hope to be numbed
By the pepper spray awaiting me on the corridors of tomorrow
But am I calling it contentment what is a life sentence of sorrow
How very odd If there was no eternity or God
When tomorrow and today are as alike as two peas in a pod
They say trust tomorrow it would change the game
Tomorrow is today and I still feel the same
Well sure you will feel the same if your hope is in tomorrow
For the hope of a better tomorrow should be in the one
To whom your very breath you borrow
It is because he lives that you can face tomorrow
For the day is fleeting without his hand of hope
And when sorrow sinks you deep in the pit
It is he who lets down the rope
So escape, escape the trenches of the strife
That comes from coasting through life
And instead of trusting tomorrow
And this glide that buries you further in sorrow
Let’s trust him who is able to free us
The one and only saviour, Jesus
