Because I feel like I sort of built my career on just being who I am and not holding back
With this album, I feel like fans may learn a little bit more about my grown up side

There’s a lot of fun in this record too
There’s a lot of humor
But I really feel like they are songs that are part of every aspect of my personality
You know
The nostalgic part, and the fun part, and the really reflective part, and the insecure part
And just everything that a 30 year old country girl from Texas is right now
There’s a song for it or a lyric for it on this record
I don’t know that I have anything to hide

But if there is anything else to learn about me
I feel like it’s that I’m not kind of blazing around and having the girl power
«I’ll burn your house down» kind of attitude anymore
I have that attitude in a different way now
And I think that comes with success as well
It’s like, people are listening, calm down a little bit, you know
And so, it’s like I’ve done now for sure with this record
