Trying real hard to keep my friends
But they always seem to have other plans
People to see, places to be
I bet they get together without me
Maybe we’re all just thinking the same
The years go by til we lose our names
But I got my worries and shit to do
So I guess that I’ll be fine without you
So I mumble some in my humdrum town
And a rumble comes like a thunder cloud
I keep on wondering if I’ll move my mouth
But I crumble up and no sound comes out
I’m going out tonight
I might need some help from my friends
Stuck here in this sorry town
Move every year, still headed south
Missing the past, taking the blame
Hey how are you? well hell, I can’t complain
So I mumble some in my humdrum town
And a rumble comes like a thunder cloud
I keep on wondering if I’ll move my mouth
But I crumble up and no sound comes out
Stumble some and I’ve lost the fun
And I fumble dumb stoned in the sun
All the bumble bees got me on the run
Cos the summers come and my heads gone numb
I’m going out tonight
I might need some help from my friends
