Текст Jack Wharff — Richmond City Jail

Well I pulled into that one way far away from all the railroads staring straight into a big no outlet sign
That’s when the lights began to flash and every law man in the county started pulling in behind
Well I hit the ground I started running for the tree line dodging bullets that were grazing by my head
It’s quite a walk boy but if you run you’ll make the town and lose the law and find a place to stay the night

So I started running until I couldn’t feel my legs
But they kept on coming a sea of men that never ends

What’s gonna happen to me when I get home
Will I ever see your pretty face again
And in the morning when my mom wakes up
I’ll be lyin’ in the Richmond City Jail

Well it’s been three old lonely weeks of getting bedbugs from the sheets that ain’t been
washed because I cannot go outside
My legs are weak because they only like to speak about a wanted man on channel 29
Well I can’t decide if it’s just better to come clean cause if I stay here one more night I’ll lose my mind
I think I’ll choose option C no way in hell they outrun me
I’ll make another town before the end of the night

So I started running until I couldn’t feel my legs
But they kept on coming a sea of men that never ends

What’s gonna happen to me when I get home
Will I ever see your pretty face again
And in the morning when my mom wakes up
I’ll be lyin’ in the Richmond City Jail

What’s gonna happen to me when I get home
Will I ever see your pretty face again
And in the morning when my mom wakes up
I’ll be lyin’ in the Richmond City Jail
Oh I’ll be lyin’ in the Richmond City Jail
