Текст Parker Twomey — All This Life

If you wanna get to know me you should stay for a while
This time let’s leave our troubles at the door
Can you dive deep into my eyes and help me find that smile?
Hell, I hardly ever use it anymore

All this life and I cant remember half of who I am
All this time…
Swear if one more person tells me there ain’t darkness in the light
You best be sure I’d shut you up ain’t no one living right
And I’ve yet to find my purpose all the while…

Every town I pass I leave a penny on the tracks
The wells are far to quiet for my soul
Something ’bout the noise I’ve learned to love how it distracts me
And blinds me from the prices of my tolls

All this life and I cant remember half of where I’ve been
One more drive
All this burning down the highways got me wishing I’s at home
But at home it’s too damn lonely, Wish I’s back out on the road
And I’ve yet to find my purpose all the while…

Every couple days I think about if you would miss me
If dying is a friend I’d like to know
There ain’t nothing that’s as real
As my two hands up on that steering wheel
If you dealt the cards I’d probably fold…

All this life and I can’t remember half of who I am
One last night
One more round of broken hearts left lonely in the fight
Let’s raise a glass to all of those alone in bed tonight
And lets pray they find some comfort in the while
All this life
All this life
I’ve yet to find my purpose all the while…
All this life
All this life
I’ve yet to find my purpose all this life…
I’ve yet to find my purpose all the while…
